Here she is. 1995 Escort stick shift, 170,000 for $1500. Its got some problems but in the long run it will be easy to maintain. Gas mileage is killer to. Right now its only running on 3 cylinders and it gets 30 mpg, so I'm expecting around 40 when its running right. Or maybe even up to 45-50 the way I drive it (I coast everywhere lol).

Check out that color!!!!!!

There was a 1985 IROC Camaro for $1500 in the paper near me. New interior and a great body, it had a bad motor but came with a new one. I wish it didn't get sold so quick though. :\

Name it the blue machine.

That looks like its in pretty good shape. I have a similar one in. My friends named it the Red Rainbow because every body panel is a different shade of red.

I dunno, its 13 years old. Thats pretty old IMO, at least in car industry terms. Either way, it does drive nice. It can coast like an Olympic luge...

And in the lead currently on the name contest: Teal Torpedo!!! with Sexaroni in close second.

And BTW I took off all the hubcaps. I think the plain black goes better with the car's black trim.

Over here in the uk most cars from the 90's are still around, in god nick and not really considered that old. Newest car we own is a '99 Mundaneo actually.

Theres only two or three cars from the last decade that I would want to buy anyways.
When I find one in the right colour, I'll have me a '79 Dolomite.

Another vote for Teal Torpedo btw.

dude, it has 4 cylinders right?
guess what!?! more cylinders used means more gas consumption so if it runs smoothly with three. then leave that alone. you'll get better mileage on it.

However, if your engine keeps trying to turn the fourth cylinder, it could break a valve or a spring or rocker arm/roller (etc) and it could really damage your engine. so just be careful and keep an eye on your pressures and rpms

Hahaha you don't just let it run on 3 cylinders, that's not a good idea.

Be glad it's only got one dead cylinder, I let my brother drive my '07 BMW and it came back only running on three out of six cylinders!

It's a good car, when the engine is running right, you'll get about 34 mpg.

No it uses more gas dude. The 3 cylinders are working harder and using the same amount of gas.

Edit: And to whoever ever asked, no its not supposed to be like that lol.

Wow, all my cars have been better then that...

1st ever... 1979 mustang 302 auto, tires were so bald when I would spin around acorner sparks would fly... ah to be 16 again

saved up and bought 1992 Eagle Talon AWD Turbo... fun little car wrote it off...

94 mustang convertible ... hence the name

95 GMC 4x4

99 Trailblazer

Not too bad fr a decade of driving... Have fun with it, its an exciting day when you get your first car, then your parents cant take away the car they lend you... and no asking to borrow their car. (Luckily I bought mine like 1 month after I turned 16)

Props for driving a stick shift in Florida. Way nicer than automatic transmission.

And, not every bastard will be able to steal it.

I recently bought a -88 Mercedes 300 coupé from Germany.

Yeah and on top of it being a stick, the shifter is sloppy. Really, REALLY sloppy. The dealer said it was anti-theft lol.

Maybe I'll call it the Mystery Shifter.

there was a Korean (or Malaysian) car company who would sell you a new car with a three cylinder diesel engine, James May tested it in a Top Gear episode where they were testing korean cars to see if any were good.

TS: I'd change the rims though and increase their size too. It'll give the car a fresher feel and look IMO.
