I will have a five string very soon and for a few things i would like to get a bit more low end in my sound almost like in some hip hop. Any suggestions would be great

ok.. well im assuming you dont play gigs with that...
if you had say a 15 inch speaker.. youd get more low end.

just adjust your EQ/Gain settings
max out your mids and put your treble and bass to halfway

what do you have for gain/distortion

nothing for gain at the moment

well if you have a pre-gain and a post-gain setting before your volume.. i'd max out your post-gain.. and then switch your pregain at what ever you like.. try it

That is likely to overload the poweramp section. I would not recommend doing that.

Firstly, an amp with bigger speakers would help, a lot.

As it is, I would say to just bosot the bass on your EQ a LITTLE and cut the treble a LITTLE. Also, try playing just with the neck midup, and try picking/plucking closer to the neck.

When I do that on my Yamaha it almost sounds like an upright, it's awesome, but then again I am actually plucking the strings around the 17th fret, that's a bit more than close to the neck
