turn your volume up. .. eq has little to do with sustain unless you wanna max them out too

You could try getting one of those sustain block things, or if you have a guitar with a neck pickup that you don't use, one of those Fernandes Sustainers. It requires routing but it'll sustain until you stop it.

hang some lead or something heavy on the head of your guitar. the added mass will add sustain. its simple physics.
