not really as much as a finish, but as esigns han painted on my guitar, similar to pinstriping
my dad does tattoos so he has the artistic ability and hes hand painted a couple of signs for places in a tattooish style, so i was thinking about gettin some old school stuff painted on my guitar, its a black epiphone dot
was wanted almost some sailor jerry type stuff
you guys think this would look good and/or stay on teh guitar?

there is a way to do it right on the finish but i'm not sure how. Hendrix did it to a V in the late 60's. My guess is that you would paint it on and then re laquer the guitar. Once again that is a guess.
Out here you've gotta know where your towel is!

yea, i was kind of thinking the same thing
just use an oil based paint or automotive pin striping paint and then have it clear coated
