i already have it set up, but i dont know how to record with it using reaper.

i dont know how to make my own tracks and stuff. and i can hear anything unless i record something using the MIDI FX arm, then play it, but i have to be playing a groove track on the plug-in to hear anything. but i can only hear the groove track for as long as the recording on reaper lasts.

A bump after less than an hour? Jesus.

I don't quite understand what you mean anyway... If it's what I think it is , then create a new track, select it, go to insert > new MIDI item. Then drag the MIDI bar to the desired length, double click on it, and create your drums in the grid shown.

From what I can gather you're trying to loop a beat in ezdrummer right? It is supposed to stop after you've finished recording because there is no more midi info to trigger the sounds. If you want it to play over and over then you can either copy and paste the drum loop however many times you need it or set up a loop in Reaper, I dunno how that works though.

I might be totally off target though and you might have a different problem altogether.
