so heres the skinny

i have about 650 bucks saved up to buy a new amp i've been looking around at different amps and it's just made me more confused about what to get each amp justdoesn't offer what i want
so here's teh rundown on the different amps i played and what i did or didnot like about them

hopefuly you guys can help me find an amp i would like or some pedals to help solve my problems

Peavy valveking212
liked: this guitar gives off really good harmonics and their is a lot of clarity to the highgain setting and there's a lineout for cabinets
disliked: the sound was really dark

spider valve212
liked: the versitility the amp has and its super high gain tones
disliked: didn't have te same harmonic response or clarity as teh peavy , it's outof my price range, also it was hard to dial in a tone and ther's no effects loop

peavy transtube112
liked: it was versitle and still had good tone
disliked: it was a little small and i don't know if they make them any more

Edit: i play all sorts of stuff mathcore jazz indie metal punk blues classic rock

And on these to amps

Peavy valveking212
liked: this guitar gives off really good harmonics and their is a lot of clarity to the highgain setting and there's a lineout for cabinets
disliked: the sound was really muddy <--needs speaker and tube replacement to clear that up which will take you over your budget

spider valve212 <---- dear god don't waste you money there are so many other good amps out there...liked: the versitility the amp has and its super high gain tones
disliked: didn't have te same harmonic response or clarity as teh peavy , it's outof my price range, also it was hard to dial in a tone and ther's no effects loop

like i said if you want a good amp go with the marshal half stack.

Pretty much a useless post...

WHICH marshall half stack? Some are great some are flat out crap...

This is like telling him to get a boss pedal, or maybe a he could get a Ibanez guitar

And any Marshal stack in the 600 range is crap (thats not used)

Peavey windsor?

If you want a marshall it's the cheapest close aproximation you'll find.

You need to tell us what kind of music you play, I could say a 5150/6505 but that wouldn't do much good if you wanted to play RHCP style stuff.
