I highly recommend getting their new full length album "Lens". Totally worth it.
My style is impetuous.
My defense is impregnable, and I'm just ferocious.
I want your heart.
I want to eat your children.

Edmonton, Alberta. The scene is pretty decent but it's splintered into two sort of groups; the tough-guy bro-core types (part of which is referred to as the "north side fight crew") and the power-violence/non-tough guy people. Regardless of the lame mosh crews, there are a lot of good bands and the faux-metalcore thing is more or less dead (which means no more chumps with choppy haircuts and eye-liner making ****ty music in my town!).

High Jinks (kind of like Ceremony, Outbreak, etc. with better lyrics)
www.myspace.com/highjinkz

Wednesday Night Heroes (most entertaining punk band on this side of the border)
www.myspace.com/wnheroes

E-Town Beatdown (kind of tough guy hardcore, but they're fun to see)
www.myspace.com/etbd

Leave It Behind (they used to be a joke band called Punch Out! that wrote songs about Nintendo games; this is the serious incarnation of that band)
www.myspace.com/leaveitbehind780

Hominid (a bunch of grungy kids playing power violence)

Portland, Oregon.

Poison Idea is the only one that comes to mind right now. Some Seattle bands come down here too though.

i've heard them from somewhere. i can't remember where though.

anywho...

The Fight Between Frames is tearing south Louisiana a new one.
the last show i saw them at, there were some metal barricades about a foot from the stage. the people in the front BROKE two of the freakin barricades. they were made of metal! it was crazy.

them and Monsterz On Maple Street. they're also crazy. they have two screamers. so its good.

NSW has quite a small scene compared to Victoria, but if you read the "Australian Hardcore" thread, there is a list of about 50 quality bands.

That.

Ruiner used to be a local band, then they got really big, as did Pulling Teeth. Trapped Under Ice is from around here, and they're ending up like them too. I'm glad the hardcore scene is so good around here, cuz the metal scene sucks bawls

Charlotte, NC

-Seneca - http://www.myspace.com/senecaband

Been around a long time. They have a huge following here.

-In Fatal Memories - http://www.myspace.com/infatalmemories

They've been inactive for a while, but have insanely catchy tunes.

-Killwhitneydead - http://www.myspace.com/killwhitneydead

They use tons of movie samples. I think it's fun to listen just to see what movies they pulled them from.
I think signatures are lame.

(Not really. I just don't have nice things to put here like you all do. )

My dad lives in central jersey. Just north of Trenton. I have no scene here.

My mom lives in the Baltimore-DC area which I hear has a sick scene, but I haven't experienced it yet.
