I am currently attempting to record some new songs for my profile, but everything is ultimate fail. My setup is below, if you have any ideas as to what could be wrong, could you tell mee.

Geetar >> Good Lead >> Wah >> Alright Lead >> Amp >> Line Out >> Alright Lead >> Tone Port >> Computer >> Gearbox >> MAGIX Music Maker

I've tried rebooting, plugging and unplugging the tone port USB thing, turning up the volume on the amp and restarting music maker.

Any ideas?

EDIT: The software doesnt pick up any sound or anything, and sometimes the volume monitor thing goes beserk for no apparent reason.

Have you checked everything in your task tray volume thing? Go into the Options > Properties and then check all the boxes. That might be a problem.

Sorry for patronising doing the simple things, but it's normally the case.

It might be the MAGIX music maker, i've used it before and its a very unreliable program.
Try using Audacity or something like that instead of MAGIX
