Assuming it's dollars, I probably wouldn't recommend an amp until I knew what style of mmusic he was looking at playing on it

I went to look for a picture of a bone on google image search for a joke. Turning 'SafeSearch' off seemed to be my downfall here. What has been seen cannot be unseen

You might (and I really stress might) be able to get a used Peavey Classic 30 for that price if you are lucky, or a Crate Palomino V16 should suffice.

Yeah I saw that, but surely no-one could be dumb enough to take that seriously.

Hey. You never know....

Isn't that thread still up here where the guy asked if three different SS amps were better than the tube alternatives after 2 pages of responses?

Meh.

TS. We need styles. Money type. Please.

That thread?
I got pissed at that guy towards the end.

Yeah. Him. I didn't even bother posting in that one

And this guy apparently doesn't know how to look back to see if people want his help....

His loss I suppose. I guess this thread will eventually die.

Summit County if you must know... And I'd shoot for a Crate Palamino, or one of their older models (like what I have). The Vintage Club series nails really shimmery cleans, and also nice full overdriven sound. The quality has gone down some, but the Palamino still aren't horrible.

You know, back before the internet, people used to go and try gear for themselves. That just might work.

Great sig diditfortehlulz and as for the amp I would go with the Blackheart for what you play.

Interesting. It turns out that there are people on the forum who play an upright bass. I'll make a note of that.

*stares at note for a minute*

Dude! Yes. Awesome sig.

And listen to the previous posts before me.

Especially the one about trying out gear...

That and look at Blackhearts, Palo's, maybe even an Epi Valve Jr. All depends on what sounds good, but all the suggestions will be close to what you're looking for...

Here it is, best bet is either a Crate Palomino, Crate V line, or one of the Peavey Valveking line amps. But the only way you'll really know is to go and try them, as someone stated above. These are the best for what price range you've got. I've played the Valvekings and they are great amps. I haven't played the others but they have a really great reputation. Good luck

Also try the Blackhearts, Epiphone, Fender, and Pignose. I have no idea about these other than Fender, which always has good Products.

Isnt it true that a 50 w tube would be louder than a 100w solid state?
