Okay, me and my friends band are going to start gigging in the local scene.
-We play stuff like Black Dahlia Murder, Lamb of God, ECT.
--I was thinking about getting a Mesa halfstack from 500$-1200$
---Does anyone have any advice on good Mesa amps, or any other good metal amps

Thanks you very much,
Kevin

Koch or Rivera....best metal amps I have ever heard.
I've bought, sold, and traded more gear than I care to admit.

You're not gonna get a mesa stack for that much. Maybe a b-52, it's sorta known as the poor man's rectifier.
I don't give a shit if you listen to me or not

For that price, you're not going to get a Mesa stack, but you don't really need one in the first place. Pretty much any gig you're going to be playing is gonna be mic'ed, and a lower- wattage combo will allow you to turn your amp up a bit more, which will give you a little more power tube saturation. If you're willing to go used, you could get something like a Rect- O Verb combo well within that price range, though:

i just bought a mark iii head off ebay for 650 and it is great. go to purevolume.com/westlentz and find my demo of it. i play a little bit of laid to rest at one point. i think it has a very similar tone to the actual song. if you have a guitar with relatively hot pickups, the amp can do really heavy stuff easily

For your style of music and price range, the Peavey Triple X is a clear winner.
Then pickup a used 4x12 and you're set.
MARSHALL JVM 210H
PEAVEY JSX
KRANK 412
MESA 412
FENDER STRATS
DIMARZIO
