I live in Nebraska (yeah I know) and there was a tornado yesterday, full on like a block away from my house. No property damage except for trees and crap. What's the worst natural disaster you guys have been in?

I got montgomeried.

EDIT:

Oh yeah, forgot the point of the thread after that
Well I live in San Diego and we had some gnarly wildfires last October. It got scary when all the fires started merging into one going around the north, south and east sides of us. Then from here if you go any farther west you hit ocean. So yeah it was pretty exciting.

uhh, i think my location says it all. ive been in a handfull of hurricanes. but my house is strong a hell. lost of trees fell, and a bit of roof damage, but thats it. my mom and i went out in the middle of one of them and it was fun, until we almost got blown over.

I was in Peru last year during the 8.0 earthquake there. Although I was in Lima, about 90 miles from the epicenter, I still felt it. My aunt lost 30 of her relatives when a church collapsed in Pisco, which was hit hard by the quake.

I'm hearing a steady *thump thump* from the people above me and I need some porno grooves to play on my bass to give them some background music. Any ideas?

Just a few big storms. The city I live in has the biggest coal port in the world, 3 ships waiting broke their anchor lines and 1 beached. Not tiny little ships, big 250 metre long tankers.

Thanks for the advice. I'm going to put it, along with your other advice, into a book, the pages of which I will then use to wipe my ass.

Well, we were once caught on the very edge of Hurricane Isabel (I think) and we were out of power for four days, and several of our trees were knocked down.

The Dudley Earthquake of 2002 (I think). A mighty 4.8 on the richter scale.

I awoke at about half one in a room that was shaking and rumbling - I thought a jet had gone over very, very low to be honest.

The river and canal (not sure how) flooded last year. I got wet feet when an artic lorry went through the floodwater as I was walking past.

A tree in the park got struck by lightning, while I was in the park - It was the other side of the park, but it was one hell of a boom.

Apparently when i was like 2 years old, my parents and i went camping with a bunch of their friends (and their kids) in the Catskill mountains upstate from here (NY), and a small tornado hit. Nothing major though, fairly weak from what i've been told.
