Thanks for the advice. I'm going to put it, along with your other advice, into a book, the pages of which I will then use to wipe my ass.

Children of Bodom - Kissing the Shadows

Has a small keyboard part in it...

anything by Children of Bodom

Also, Nightwish, Dimmu Borgir, Dark Tranquility, Evergrey, Symphony X

That's all i can come up with off the top of my head. Maybe i'll post more in an edit later on.

The Faceless have some good keyboard bits.
Leica and Akeldama are two of the songs they use them in.

Nightwish. I don't like their music but they use keyboards a lot. If you're willing to explore beyond the gates of metal I suggest Nobuo Uematsu.

much of Guns N Roses Use your Illusion (both 1 & 2) have keyboard parts in them.
The Who uses some keyboard.
He's a freak of nature, but we love him so.

Keyboard solo in Limb From Limb by Protest the Hero right at 2:55.
Its freakin crazy.

Something easier, not necessarily metal, Wolfmother uses keyboards in most of their songs.
