How much money do you have?

I'd recommend an SAS32 or an SA260. Both have an HSS configuration with the humbucker being splitable, so can use it as if it was an SSS guitar. Should be just right for what you're playing.

There are other nice guitars besides Ibanez though, if you're interested...

I'll get you some links, wait a minute. I'll edit this post shortly.

EDIT:

The SA260:

The only differences between those two guitars are the fretboard and flame maple veneer. I'd go with the cheaper one, because I find a difference in cosmetics (the flame veneer) is not worth a hundred bucks extra. Plus I like maple fretboards better, but that's subjective.

About the SAS: It is far nore expensive than I thought it was, it's nearly 600 dollars, so I'll skip that one.

I couldn't find any site that sells those, so here's a link to the Yamaha site:

Loot at the Yamaha PAC412V and 612V. They have great build quality and nice pickups for the price, especially the 612V, as it has a Seymour Duncan pickup in the bridge position. The 612V might be out of your price range though.

Another alternative is a Fender Strat with HSS or SSS configuration. The HSS has a bit more 'punch', which ditorted sounds will benefit from, though both versions will work for the music you play.

These guitars are all pretty much equal I'd say. Soundwise, I prefer the Fenders and Yamahas, but some people just like the fell of an Ibanez better (very flat neck). I recommend you just go to the nearest music store and try those out.
