How much would it cost one to get this procedure done? Omitting the value of the neck?

Not worth the money, unless you have a very expensive guitar.

And it wouldn't be the same as before it was replaced.

And you're obviously here because you fancy Phill.
Phill is a very attractive guy...

Total loss dude..It usually cost more to repair it than to get a new one..
By all means do it if its vintage or just that special to you..but if its not...
use it for slide guitar or somethin...
I bet Charlie Brown's teacher's name was Mrs.Hammett

If its a 2k or more gibson or some family heirloom than maybe the cost would worth it. But its alot of money to get the old neck out and a new one put in. Not to mention the cost of the neck. Dont even want to think what cash gigson would want for this job. Broken headstocks can be reglued many times. If your just wanting a different neck then another guitar will be cheaper.

500 for the repair job. nevermind the extra 500 to get a new neck made

Now we've established it's not worth it, what actually happened to the guitar?
