Graceland

If life was all we had
Who are we to ask for more?
We only need one another
To reach the golden shore
Leaves transforming from brown to green
And the sun brightly lit
Is all we need to reach Graceland

Then all the things we did
To stimulate our minds
We thought that they were endless
And we’d do them all the time
But now those are all gone
Just like the autumn moon
Sacrifice is all we need, Graceland

If all you adored and loved
Disappeared
And all distress and loneliness
Vanished in thin air
Who could ask for more?
Who could disagree?
The answer is so simple in my mind

If life was all we had
Who are we to ask for more?
We only need one another
To reach the golden shore
Leaves transforming from brown to green
And the sun brightly lit
Is all we need to grasp Graceland
It’s all we need to touch Graceland
It’s all we want to find Graceland
