okay, so lately i've found my throat being sore after i'm singing (i'm not screaming, i'm singing) and i've been reading about taking stress off my throat and exercising my voice. but why is my throat hurting how can i help take that stress off? and i already drink plenty of water while singing.

maybe you're just getting a cold...
cuz when I sing my throat hurts only when I'm having a cold.
1. You're surfing the internet.
2. You're browsing through the UG forums.
3. You're reading now.
5. You didn't notice that there was no #4.
6. You just checked it.
7. Now you're having a lil smile.

Im a vocalist myself, and from what Ive been taught and experienced myself, you may not have warmed up or warmed down properly. As well like was said, it could be just a cold, or you could be pushing yourself to sing uncomfortable notes to early on and your not quite warmed up for them yet
