Alright, I'm bored shitless and in need of some new cinematic entertainment. I've been kind of out of the movie loop lately, so would you all please recommend some good DVDs that have come out pretty recently? I'm not too picky about genre right now, just anything you think is worth a purchase. Mucho appreciated.

Even if it's not very new I'd recommend Iron Giant. Yeah, the animated movie. It's great imo=)

You talking about the Japanese film, or a different one?

Ideal series 1 and 2. 3 is out soon on DVD as well. No one watches this show except me though

Saw Hero the other day. The Jet Li movie and it's just beautiful and quite a cool story. If you're into Kung Fu stuff I'd recommend Once Upon A Time In China 1,2 and 3

Yeah I've head about it from a friend who's really into foreign films, and by reading the plot is sounds fucking awesome. If they have it I'll get it, but I'm not driving all the way out to Suncoast. I'll definitely throw it on NetFlix though.

I watched an episode once on BBC 3. I was deeply disturbed by it. There was a necrophiliac woman, a guy with a creepy rat-face mask on who'd stabbed someone, a cop who dealt drugs, and a bemused Johnny Vegas being himself in the middle of it all.

Anywaaay...
Buy "Bender's Big Score" (Futurama movie).
I play by my own rules. And I have one rule; There are no rules... but if there are, they're there to be broken. Even this one.

Confused? Good.

Is it better than Flags of Our Fathers? I thought that was incredibly boring...

Battle Royale IS one of the best movies ever (I mean the jap version)

But you could also see Heat. The bank robbery scene in that one is Epic.

Just recently watched 3:10. It was definitely awesome.

It just wouldn't be right if I hadn't seen Juno multiple times...

Grindhouse, absolutely loved it in theaters, but didn't want to buy the movies separately. Did they finally release the full theatrical version on DVD, with the previews and all?

Stop tossing around that idea and act on it! Arrested Development is a must.
I have recreated a Mattocaster with Kaoss Pad built into the body. If you would be interested in having this mod done to your guitar, let me know!

Yeah I know, but TV series DVDs are usually $30-$40 bucks.

Ok, if I did decide to pick up a season of AD, which would you recommend? I've seen most of the series, but cannot really remember which episodes are in which season. It's all a blur.

i would suggest either FIGHT CLUB, AMADEUS, or *drumroll* HIGH FIDELITY!! woot.

Into The Wild or the Dexter series.

Yeah, Dexter is brilliant if you don't mind shelling out a bit more money than you would for a film. You have to watch until the last episode before you realise quite how fantastic it is though.
