Hey guys. I love playing bass guitar, but not on my dad's bad practice amp. I'm looking for an amp that'll help get a cool sound that can not only deliver a straight up rich bass tone, but also that special funk tone you get from people like Victor Wooten and Flea. Any recommendations? I've been eyeballing some nice Fender amplifiers, but I wanted to see what this community thinks.

Well I don't know much about bass amps but my bassist has a Laney that sounds pretty good to my ears. I think it's the RB7.

It looks like this

Good recommendation! I looked it up on YouTube, and it sounds pretty funky. I think it's the RB4, actually. I couldn't find any RB7's on YouTube, just RB4's.
