Don't say something sarcastic or stupid like "Why are you so gay?" or "Why is this thread so much fail?".

Personally, I think the hardest question to answer is "What is the meaning of life?" because it has so many different answers.

I'd like to take that question slightly further, by adding ",the universe and everything" to it.

No, because you just said yourself it has answers.

Any answer given is, technically, the correct answer, because it's all subject to the person.

No, that makes the question easier; the answer is obviously 42.

Well, if one was to say the meaning of life, it would go on forever. Therefore, it would definitely be the LONGEST question to answer.

If a tree fell in the middle of a forest, and no one's there to hear it, will it make a sound?

No.

Everything that vibrates the air creates the potential for sound, regardless of what conscious being is there to perceive it in the first place. If there is nothing to perceive it occurring, then it could not exist. Sound is a subjective interaction with matter. All sound is, is vibrations through a medium, without humans to perceive it, those vibrations that we call sound, when the tree fell, would make vibrations, but "sound" as we know it, couldn't exist, since no conscious being was there to interpret those vibrations.

Edit: This is copy pasta btw. Just makes it easier than explaining myself.

you get an something called an "indeterminate form" i think. there are a few indeterminate forms including:
0/0 infinity/infinity 0/infinity infintity x 0 and a few others i think.

thats all i remember from calculus.

Actually in one of my classes, Theory of Knowledge, we discussed this question. The answet to this is Yes and No. It depends on what you define making a sound as. If we take the scientific definition of making a sound then yes there is still a sound because no matter what the vibrations are being created and sent through the air. However because the only reason we know those vibrations exists is through our perception of them through our brain then, if you choose this definition that making a sound is the way we experience those vibrations then no there is no sound because the sound only exists in our mind :P
