Basically, I was importing 25 GB of music, and had to cancel it.
I deleted the music that was there, and somehow it checked "delete from computer" as well.

And basically, most of my music is now gone.

I restored from the Recycle Bin, and it didn't restore the files to anywhere, just removed it from the Bin.

I'm really, really pissed.

2,400+ songs gone.

And I can't download here, and I moved here last week.

Can UG help? Please.

so what's the problem? you removed the files from the bin, has nothing to do with wmp. either the bin's playing a prank on you or you clicked the wrong option. fortunatly there are programs to restore files removed from the bin. i have no idea what it's called but someone here must know

I'm adding you on MSN. Accept me, and i'll give you a couple of places you can go on to get free music. You don't need to download any other software to download them.

Try one of the restoring programs, there's something called Restoration i think, they're supposed to restore stuff which are deleted from recycle bin (it'll only work if you haven't replaced the 'space' you used for the music), not sure if it'll work for 25gb but it's worth a try.
EDIT: Here you go, try one of these or use the site and search for something relevant.

I used to have sex with dolls.
When I was really young, though.

Like, 26 or something.

Don't download music, you can find illegal copied cds that cost 1 euro in some stores. I normally buy full discographies for less than 5 euros or I copy them from friends for free.
That way you'll have the backup files.

Your thread title should read, Big Problem: WMP.

Also, just search for the songs with the search function in explorer.

Yeah, this is what I'd try to do. Just open up search and type in one of the missing songs. Should lead you right to the lot of them!

Tried searching.

It's not on the computer, nor the external hardrive which it was deleted from.

EDIT:

I do pay for music. But this was my downloaded collection.
To Soulfly: Fvck you, WMP deleted it from both itself and the folder.

I didn't do anything stupid.

That's why I'm angry.

Fuck me?

I was just joking. Anyway, it wasn't clear whether or not it was put back on the comp, but in a different spot.

The only conclusion I have come to is that, instead of clicking "Restore items", you clicked "Empty bin" instead.
