So I'm looking for a new amp. I'm into mostly metal but I also play prog/post-hardcore type stuff. Any suggestions? 1,000 is the most I want to spend but could go more if it's worth it.
Thanks!

^^LOL WUT

Check out the Recto or Mark series. I think a Recto in particular would be cool.

Dude, spider valves arent that bad at all. Its got a lot of good effects for the money. and those tubes give it a decent tone.

still with ~1 grand you can do better. you can buy a good used tube amp and buy some single pedals. it will be a better overall tone.

The Spider valve sounded really similar to the spider to me.

Add a Carvin V3 and mabye a Bugera, and you're set. Go play them. Go now.
