May be an old video, but this guy has a HUGEASS range.

Here's him doing the end to "cemetary gates" by Pantera
http://youtube.com/watch?v=0DWBEEQatTc&feature=related

Here's him hitting a hilariously high note:

IMO that's better than Jim Gillete.

I can reach the 2nd last note he sings in his Cemetary Gates cover, just not very well.

How high can you guys go?

During practice once, my bass player was trying to act cool and headbang and I hit him in the face with sharp head of my washburn (accident maybe). Theres still a tiny bit of blood in my guitar, I think its kinda cool

A drunk guy on the the bus asked me if i remembered the 60's. I told him i was 17 then he told me that everyone remembers the 60's.

I thought about it, and frankly, I couldn't fault his logic.

I've hit a Db above high C at most with my regular talk voice, then I have some weird, Paul Stanley type thing that can take me up to F#, then there's the falsetto which I haven't bothered checking, it's high enough to sing along with the sopranos in my choir anyway :p

Thats amazing.

At that very last scream near the end his voice got so high it was out of my hearing range for like a split second. Wow.

BlackZeppelin is like Ghandi. With a bigger sense of humor.
it's the silence between the notes that makes the music.

Its not that high if you are good at using your mixed register.

the mixed register is a combination of your chest ( normal ) voice and Head ( falsetto) voice.

I am a little flat when I try to hit this guys notes, but with proper practice anyone can.

+1 amazing voice

In screaming terms, Phil Labonte of All That Remains has got an IMMENSE range vocally, both regularly singing and screaming.

Hm well singers tend to rely on guitarists or keyboard players to write their songs

That was awesome. Especially because I speak Russian and could understand bits and pieces of it. Really haunting. I actually enjoyed that.

Winner takes all!!!

Hahaha Good stuff! This kid wins because he can play guitar while singing it.

Edit: Oh, wait, he didn't do the second part with the modulation where it goes up a step. Hmm...not sure who wins now...

Oh btw +1 on Myles Kennedy. Daniel Gildenlöw of Pain of Salvation also has an amazing voice and range, definately worth checking out!

Bahh. All they do it go into mixed register and hold a note then move around a little.
Its just high and somewhat talented for doing with what looks like little training ( with the clip posted by Calcum).
I wanna see them stay in that range and consistently sing.

Its like screaming. peoples voices get really high, but its only for as long as you hold out the scream, try singing while screaming.
I know bad simile.

Here this is a more impressive display of vocal prowess,
Vitas singing Ave Maria, Click here

or just about any Andrea Bocelli will put any other artist to shame.
Cheers!
