http://www.myspace.com/peterciluzzi <--- I'm really into this kind of music now. Until I get a new acoustic I'll be practicing fingerpicking on my electric lol

I have up to $500 CDN to spend, what would be a good guitar for this stuff? Would I need a specific kind or would any acoustic do good?

I heard Yamaha makes good acoustics in my price range.

Maybe this? http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Yamaha-FG750S-Folk-Acoustic-Guitar?sku=518278

or http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Yamaha-FG730S-Solid-Top-Acoustic-Guitar?sku=519049 ?

Opinions?

I haven't tried either out yet but I prefer to have a solid idea of what I want before I go try things out . I hate the feeling of walking into a store clueless

Well, generally fingerstyle players like wider nuts, so look for something with a wider nut. Also, smaller bodied guitars are usually well balanced, so smaller bodied guitars would be worth looking at.

Other than that, just go play guitars ad see what you actually like.
