Hey, Bass forum!

I've read several reviews and was thinking of buying one of these:

http://www.rondomusic.com/web846fl.html

So far, the only thing that I might have a problem with about the bass is how people say the bass is neck-heavy. How could I remedy this? I mostly stand when I play. Is it a matter of the kind of strap you use, or would I have to reposition the strap buttons?

I slap a lot, and have researched on using polyurethane to coat the maple fingerboard. The main thing I'm concerned with is the string spacing. It's probably just a matter of getting used to it, but would anyone happen to know the string spacing for this bass?

Does anybody else have experience with this bass? Any tips/exercises for a maybe-soon-to-be fretless player?

I've been eyeing up the same bass, just haven't managed to save up, always something to buy

But theres a good review over on talkbass:

And being a slapper, most 6-ers will be a bit challenging

I asked my son he said nothing but he just asked me he wants a psyachatrist (spelling?) Because he heard voices calling out his name. What a freak.

Thanks for the link! I tried slapping on a sixer earlier today at GC. It was actually slightly easier for me. I like how there's not so much play for your finger to go between the strings. Less hand movement But I'm not sure what the string spacing was on that bass. It was an Ibanez SR506. I also got a taste of a fretless there. How tasty!

Personally I would be afraid of a bass that cheap, espcially a fretless, but if you do get it and its nice, I would like to know.
I'm thinking the same, but a few people over at talkbass ordered stuff from Rondo, and they seem impressed with the quality for the price.

It's a 34" scale bass. Do you think that will be a huge problem for the low B?
