What is the best way to remove the saddle on an acoustic guitar? Is it also the same way to remove the nut as well?
The saddle should come out with no resistance at all. As for the nut, lightly tap the front of it with a flat-head screwdriver to break it loose. If that doesn't work use some solvent. Make sure you don't get solvent on the neck, because it can melt the finish on most guitars.
