Alright. Basic info first: I play in a metal band, and for my own personal tone, I want to get something like a cross between Megadeth and new metal. I heard that the Peavy Valveking 212 would be a great amp for medium sized gigs, so I went one petter: I'm gonna get a Valveking stack!

The setup will be like this,

Head: Peavey Valveking 100 Head http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Peavey-ValveKing-100-Head?sku=481170

Cab: Behringer Ultrastack BG412H

Will this setup sound good and get nice n' loud, or should I just get a Valveking 212.

I'm going to be playing a Jackson rr3 rhoads BTW.

you dont need a half stack or the 212 for a mediam sized gig, I would recommend 30-50 watts, ya gotta realize this is a tube amp so your gonna wanna crank the volume up near the whole way to get that warm overdriven sound

It's pretty good, but the cab ain't that great. I suggest getting the VK head and a quality 212 cab.

Have you used the cab?
