Hey all, I got my guitar back in September, and I haven't had to change the strings for some reason (thankfully), because they sound fine, and they haven't broken. She's a Takamine, so I assume she has steel strings? I'm not sure, but anyway, so I can see some wear and tear on the strings, and lately, my thick E string has been buzzing from the saddle area....time for new strings or is there a way to fix this? Whenever I tighten the string, it tends to go away, but I don't want that tuning. What's up?

Sounds like it could be the saddle.
If it's the saddle, the extra string tension could be holding a loose something-or-another in place, and when it's looser, that something-or-another is loose and buzzes.
Try replacing the string. If that doesn't work, you probably know the problem.

Takamine makes both steel string and nylon string guitars. This site will help show which one you have:

In any case, 9 months is a long time between string changes. Change them, if the buzz is still there post back.
