Opeth + Porcupine Tree

Strapping Young Lad + Gojira

Jesu + 65daysofstatic (that bands needs Justin's droning vocals, and his ability to create insane atmosphere)

The Melvins + Torche (not ALL metal, but still amazing)

Baroness + Mastodon (Prepare for the ride of your life)

Akercocke and Opeth.

You know it.

That would be sick.

I'd like a progressive/technical Black Dahlia Murder, with a side of BTBAM wackyness, and a large Gorguts, to go, please.

Another nice combo would be Mike Patton, Justin King, and King Crimson.
Has a nice ring to it.

sepultura, sarcófago, overkill oh **** yeah xD \m/
max and wagner on vocals and guitars hehe
Bobby Gustafson - lead guitars
igor cavalera - drums
D.D. Verni - bass

I’m not the man I used to be, I... I can’t go back to Arkham.

I... I should return to Arkham.

Among the churchyard’s mouldering stones I recognise a name – my own.
I have come home to Arkham.

Opeth and Riverside. You get the progressive tendencies of both bands plus Riverside's awesome use of texture and atmosphere.

In Mourning and Riverside would produce a similar effect with a somewhat different but equally awesome sound.

Dark Tranquillity and Mono would be cool.

I really liked the Opeth and Blind Guardian idea...

With Derek Roddy on the drums.

You're losing interest because you're simply not gay enough. Which leads me to believe you aren't cut out for metal.

Candlemass + Witchmaster

(trying to think of something that wouldn't work at all)

edit: Tank + Venom! oh wait, thats Warfare
O what a disgrace if such a despised and base race, which worships demons, should conquer a people which has the faith of omnipotent God and is made glorious with the name of Christ!

Children of Bodom and Opeth.

I think it might sound amazing if Alexi's style on guitar was mixed with Mikael's. As well as the vocals, and overall style of songwriting.

And I should add that I don't mean these different aspects on overlapping top of each other, but rather mutual influence and balance.

Same with In Flames and Porcupine Tree.

Orange Goblin and Devin Townsend.

First, anything involving Devin Townsend is automatically a nice listen.
Secondly, it just makes a lot of sense to me, having the freewheeling, good-time attitude and groove of OG, and have Devin twist it into progressive masterpieces that paint the color of the cosmos' nipple on your frontal lobe.
Dyer's Eve is awesome, and has an abnormally large penis, which doesn't act as any hinderance to his everyday life despite its freakishly large size.

I would pay some damn good money to see that happen, Devy's sense of heaviness and progressive tendencies and OG's groove...

Now that made me cum.

Add sepultura for tribal drums too. And the organ player from Deep Purple on a few tracks.

P.S. Elephant Talk is so awesome.

That would be weird, Messiah.

240bpm blasting, with droning guitars in Octave E

Btw, as weird as it would be, Opeth + Dissection.

x2 Epicness, x4 Amazingness.

Though, I could see Mikael kicking Jon out of the band...
