I first want to highly reccommend tuxguitar. when my guitar pro demo ran out i didnt know what to do. Then i heard about tuxguitar. its pretty much a copy of guitar pro and its great .

i have one question. does anyone know how you can copy and paste a drum beat measure from one song to another song? if i open another song, copy it and bring it to the song i want it in, it doesnt work. In short, it seems like it only allows you to copy and paste from the same song.

I have a question as well. How do you go about downloading it? And installing? Sourceforge is confusing!

TuxGuitar is pretty sweet. Yay, free stuff. I don't know how to copy and paste from one song to another, though. :[
I sued Delta Airlines, 'cause they sold me a ticket to New Jersey, I went there, and it SUCKED.

Seems exactly like GP5 to me. I have no idea how to use these kind of programs though. How do I turn off certain instruments?
#11
^^^ really??? i had not too much of a problem with it, i dont really remember the installation process since it was about a few weeks ago.

^you should be able to right click on the instrument and delete.

these programs are really confusing at first, youll just have to use them and figure stuff out until you get good with it, especially if you compose with it

Guess what, GuitarPro is free too, if you know where to look...

Guess what, this is legal.
#13
This is sweet, I'm glad I checked it out. It sounds 100% better than powertabs do, and you don't get the innaccuracy of guitar pro tabs. ( Sorry, but most I've used are. )

Finally! I can use GP files... after... 3 years! Wow, I am so lame...

I snapped my high E once and sliced my finger open, so I can only assume snapping the low E would put me into a coma or something.

Oh yeah, I forgot to ask... how do I check the tuning in the program?

I'm thinking of downloading this, just wondering, can you add drums in this program?

Actually...no. As long as you download the demo first and then the RSE it is not. Read the "End User Lisence Agreement" and you will know what I am talking about.

what? srsly? Tuxguitar is better than powertab. I admit that guitar Pro is the best, but you have to pay for that. But for being free, Tux Guitar has more features, like the multi-instrument samples. Strange, I don't see a bass track or drum track on here... Oh wait, this is power tab....

I just prefer the interface of power tab. It's a lot more user friendly.

Well yeah, I've used both, and they both need to be tinkered with before you actually know how to use it properly.

I've been using it for a while now. Pretty good for a free program. Shame you can't control the volume of individual instruments.

To copy, just use control+v
