What do you have in the bridge?

If you have another EMG HZ, blending actives and passives doesn't yield a desirable effect. First off the HZ's kinda suck, second actives are a bit louder than passives, therefore you'd have to compensate volume and output to match pickups.

As for good candidates...
The EMG 85, 89 (beautiful split tone), and 60 are all good choices.

Even an emg 85 would work great. Just gotta learn how to adjust your volume on the fly with the guitar's volume knob.

It's pretty close the the 85 tone-wise, but also gives you the ability to coil split for some single-coil like tones.
