Is it worth exchanging my Tokai Les Paul for a Fender standard telecaster, and then fitting it with a seymour duncan vintage stack pickup in either the neck or bridge. This is so I sound a bit different to other guitarist in my band also uses a telecaster?

it all depends if you would like the telecaster more than you like your tokai. if that answer is yes than of course it is worth it. nobody here can tell you any better than you can decide for yourself.

The only difference you'd notice is less hum, when you change the pickups. Your Les Paul is humbucking, where as the Telecaster isn't.

I wouldn't bother, otherwise. Why don't you invest in a better amp? That'll make you sound different than him.

Wait, what amp does he use?

Also, why exchange your Les Paul? I would think it's better.

They offered me straight swap for my tokai love rock, for fender standard telecaster sunburst secondhand. And I'm thinking of getting a Fender Frontman 212 R to replace the line6.
