Pwncore (if it exists ) if not, then Raw Black Metal or Noisecore.

I'm gonna take this in a totally different direction and say funeral doom/drone doom. It's definitely extreme. It's certainly arguable that Wormphlegm are as extreme (or even more so) than any goregrind/raw black metal.

Yes, thank you. Listening to over an hour of just one funeral/torture doom song from the likes of Vonn, Bunkur, Moss or Wormphlegm is harder to do for me at least than listening to BLASTBLASTBLAST and GURGLEGURGLES for one minute.

Yes its subjective lol, but doesnt any discussion start off with giving your own opinion?
#44
because of the time restraint I mean hell listening to a 10 minute song with a realistic max of what, 300 guitar string strokes... oughta be painfully boring lol as opposed to a short blast of aggresion... so why not just compare them both by listening to both for the same length of time :P

Jack, who cares? It's not some kind of pissing contest. I think we've discussed this before and came to the conclision that 'extremeness' or 'brutalness' or whatever is subjective to the listeners own taste.

Blah blah blah, falling on deaf ears.

I don't think I was part of that discussion lol. Anyway you're gay

Although I guess you are right about subjectivity.. although I'm still certain that all the people here who haven't heard Revenge/Conqueror would find it more extreme than whatever they mentioned

I have, but it was before i got seriously into black metal. I need to check them both out again.
The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far.

I am familiar with all of those bands in the 'war' metal style, and I still find funeral doom and drone doom more 'extreme'. I just think 'extreme' isnt all about who is the fastest and most agressive. I love Triumph.Genocide.Antichrist and War Cult Supremacy though.
#49
I tend to equate the "extreme-ness" of bands based on how disturbing their music is. Wormphlegm, Senthil, and Belketre take the cake here.

Overall, I'd say funeral doom is pretty goddamn extreme, along with those rare gems in black metal who remain disturbing without doing that whole thing where they try to out-gr1m each other.

Last Days of Humanity is heavier than any of the things I've checked out here so far...

EDIT: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zBAB7gqHIlM

EDIT2: I'll also have to mention 1349.

You need to learn the difference between constant blast and heavy

I'm no heavy-whore like some people on here are, but honestly the heaviest things I've ever heard are Noisecore/grind, Extremely Raw Black Metal (think Mutiilation x5+ ), War Metal (the stuff MH posted), and Drone.

I'm listening to War Cult Supremacy as I type this.

IMO it isn't very extreme. It's fast and raw, but I don't see how it's more extreme than your typical grind/death metal release.

And you need to learn to hear the music in "constant blasts". Last Day of Humanity stands as the heaviest band I know whatever you may think of it.

I like listening to The Locust for comedy value...and scaring the **** out of my friends who hate anything beyond ****ty metalcore

Check PsyOpus.
They have a song called "The Pig Keeper's Daughter"
Middle of the song, you just hear all this dissonance and drum fills and actual pig squeels (like, recorded sounds of pigs) and a chick moaning at the same time.
Slightly disturbing to say the least.

I'd say that Powerviolence is the most extreme genre out there, but that's probably just me.

Black Metal, while we're talking about metal, I spose.

I think Bestial War Metal is the First Honorable Mention.
Second are Raw Black Metal, Obscure/Cult Underground, Grim Black, Angry Caveman Black Metal,  Blackened Death, Evil/Satanic Death or  Heightens Blasphemous Anti-christian Themes, Brutal/Technical Death, Death/Thrash, Blackened Thrash, Porno/Goregrind, Deathgrind, Noisegrind, Brutal Black, Satanic Speed/Thrash, Black or Death with Punk in influences, Pagan Black with war themes in majestic presentation (no keys or female vox), Teutonic Thrash, Infernal Hyperspeed Black, Necro Black, Slamming Death that doesn't mosh, Less Melodicism in Black Metal & Death Metal but catchy in its music conveyance,Some Doom influences in Black or Death but tight in its music approach, National Socialist Black Metal, Some Epic/Atmospheric Black or Black Ambient, Some Mystic Black and Some Black Metal bands with less keys or gothic/symphonic elements but don't fall in an emotional weakness of music (mostly demos and first releases, 90s era & no Dimmu Borgir please).
Third are 80's Hardcore Punk ( ohhh the moshing & stage diving parts, such a weenie).

Most of that sounds made up. Besides, drone is the most extreme. Three notes over 12 minutes is pretty extreme.
