you might, might get around 400-500 dollars from that stuff witch will leave you around 900-1000 so the only metal halfstacks in that range is the valvetronix and the valveking. i would go with the valveking, its what i got, and it sounds great with a speaker change. Check out the mp3 in my profile see if its got enough gain for you. Its at 8.

Stevo's right. For the price of a Marshall MG half-stack (ewwww) ($600 or so), you can get a Valveking 212 (100w all-tube), a B-52 AT-112 (60w all-tube), or, perhaps the best for your situation IMO, a Randall RG50TC (50w all-tube with Celestion stock). And you can always buy an extension cabinet with that extra $500.

its SS and you WILL regret it

look at tube amps. the randall combo mentioned above looks to suit you nicely

a halfstack will NOT make your balls bigger, only your wallet smaller (unless you want a **** one)

well looks can be deceiving. Get a valve king combo 112 for 200 cheaper you would get way more power out of it than that solid state pile of junk. And besides its well know only marty friedman can get good tone through a crate.

ok i know u guys are gonna say i shudnt get a stack, but thats what I rly want.
of these manufacturers, who has the best tube stack:
Marshall
Peavey
Line 6
B-52
Krank
Epiphone
Vox
Randall
Kustom
Crate
EVH

Thanks

Umm, it really depends, because some are going to be about $4000.

Which you are not going to have. People will be willing to help if you actually listen & act on their advice, which is correct.

Get the stupid 1/2 stack idea out of your head, and be sensible.

I like most of them exept crate and line 6 and wouldn't mind having any of their higher end tube amps. (I like variety) But the krank rev and the peavey jsx are my favs. An EVH? they are soooooooo expensive! awesome though

you have a $3500 guitar and a frontman, am i correct?

MG is clearly the way. gibson and marshall amirite?

WHY do you want a ****ing half-stack?

They're a waste of money, and time. You only need one if you're doing stadium gigs. They may look cool in your bedroom, but the next time you log onto UG or have another guitarist there will be a huge *facepalm.jpg*.

Like everyone else has been saying, half-stacks are not necessary at ALL.

Sure they might look cool, but there is no need for that. If your going to be gigging at a large venue then all they have to do is mic up your combo and its simple as that. You will be able to find a LOT better tone inside a $600 combo than a $600 half stack. The only exception to this is if you already have a decent cab.

Please do yourself a favor and get a combo.
Failure is a far greater teacher than success.

Take the advice of everyone, please.

BUT, if you really are that thick, you could get a used Carvin V3 Head and a 2x12, NOT a 4x12 for under a grand.
