I'm getting ready to install a flatmount floyd rose in my strat-style body. I'm trying to figure out how big a block I need to wedge between the bridge and the body to get the positioning right. Can anyone help me on this? I need a block that will go between the inertia block and the body on the claw & springs side, and possibly another one on the other side of the inertia block as well. I can get the side-to-side positioning all right, it's the forward-backward (along the length of the strings) that I need help with.

Thanks

Why install a FR at all if you are just going to block it completely?

IMHO, you block a FR that came with a guitar, you don't install a FR to block it.
