Hey everyone I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good all tube practice amp with good tone but can be used for a high gain sound as well. I have a 50 watt vox hybrid right now but i think its lacking as I want some real tube tone. I was thinking of maybe selling it for a Blackheart 5W Combo with a good distortion pedal. Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Edit:

btw i have an epi les paul classic with a Dimarzio PAF PRO in the neck and a Super distortion in the bridge. And the budget is probably under 500$ trying to trade in my vox amp.

The blackheart is a great little amp and will make a wonderful practice amp. Now, for a pedal. I'd have to recommend an AMT Metalizer or California Sound pedals. Here's some links to some sound clips.

deja vu, i'm sure i've seen this post before...

edit: LOL. Yes, this thread https://www.ultimate-guitar.com/forum/showthread.php?t=874788 hehe. You're quite an AMT fanboy i see
I like analogue Solid State amps that make no effort to be "tube-like", and I'm proud of it...

...A little too proud, to be honest.

Indeed I am a fanboy lol. Great pedals though. Beats out anything else I've ever messed with.

So.. you want some 'All tube tone'

And then you want to throw a solid state distortion pedal in front of it?

...right. Tubey..

In which case why don't you just get a little solid state amp. It's a practice amp, it doesn't have to sound great.

^^ you realize they make tube distortion pedals?
you could get like a damage control solid metal.
i mean it won't be perfect for metal because thats not how the blackheart is voiced.
works on a budget i guess.
