Unscrew where you plug the cable in on the guitar. The wires probably got disconnected.

i bet the connection is loose on the jack. i had a squire p-bass that did the same thing, so we took off the pickgaurd and sauter the loose cable back on.

Check:
-all volume controls. TUrn all effects and settings to 5, all tone and volumes all the way up, and turn the volume of the amp up. Try different pick-ups: move the selector and check all of them
cable- try a different cable. If it's not that, then it's either your amp or your guitar electronics

Open the back of the guitar and check the wiring and for any looseness of any parts. If you have another guitar, plug it into the amp to see if it's the amp. Keep narrowing down the problem.

Knowing Squier, its probably the jack on the guitar come unscrewed.
