Drop D
And all strings down 1/2 a step.
and i sit and wonder, falling under .
#12
D'Addario size 8-10 (depends on which guitar I'm using)
I usually play in Drop-A with my 7-string and I keep my LP in drop-C or D standard and my SA is in standard or Eb
#13
I usually only play in E standard, but I play drop D every once in awhile. C# standard is fun too, and occasionally I'll go down to drop C or C standard, but that's really the lowest I've ever gone. I don't really like C standard, but up from that I love pretty much every tuning, especially drop C, drop D, C# standard, and E standard.

I just use my .010-.046 DR Tite-Fit strings. They get really floppy down in C standard, but they can do drop C and up. I'm sure if I put a bigger gauge on my guitar I'd probably go lower, but seeing as I play in E standard a lot too I don't really want to move up lol.

EDIT: Haha, this was my 666th post

i usually keep my electrics in Eb standard. i play blues and rock, some jazz. i use 56-12 guage strings.

however i do keep my telecaster in D standard. it sounds goo that way with its deep, dark sounding neck pickup. plus, for some reason it feels like it has more string tension so this helps with that.

on acoustic i usually keep it in D standard as well or sometimes i like to go down to C standard. the lowest ive gone is one octave down.

Most of the time I use E-standard or drop D, but I go down to Drop C and D standard occasionally.

When I get a new guitar I'll have each of mine in different tunings......hate changing tunings all the time.

Keep my starcaster in E-standard, i dont really like to tune down to drop D with it. I keep my LP in Eb-standard. I have ernie ball hybrid slinkys on both guitars gauges 9-46.
#23
Thanks.. just makin sure before i sound like a retard.. lookin to get some 52-11's or something.. my fingers have gotten so use to thick strings i bend little ones and fret lower notes sooo much easier.. good excercise imo if you have 2 guitars..

F# standard. Makes everything really controllable and fast!
I use 8 gauges, I used 7's for a while but I couldn't find any more.

I don't really feel a need to sound heavy, just fast and riffy and stuff...
#26
Drop C - 12-54's
Drop D - 10-50's
Drop A - 7 String - 10-58's
Standard

E standard, Eb, occasional drop D.
nothing more, i think extremely low tuning is stupid, but that's my personal preference.

F# tuned up or down?

If down that must be abomitable with the 8s

Drop C, Dropped Db(C#) Dropped D, Standered

GHS .11s right now but IDK I might switch back to D'Arrdio (how ever you spell it) .11s

On the 7321 I play 1 step down

My Alvarez never comes out of standered (except the occasional 1/2 step down) and its D'Arradio Super Light Acoustic strings can't think of gauge...

I use B Standard, C Standard, D Standard, E Standard. I rarely ever use drop tunings. I use DR 11-52s by the way.

Lately ive gotten into Drop-C flat...

After years of having *something missing* it was simply a half step..
