I have recently started to learn the song acdc - thunderstruck , ive been picking every note and trying to work speed up, but when i see some covers on youtube there no one who picks it, is it impossible to get the right speed with picking or whats the deal?

Ur actually playing it wrong. Just about the entire song is only hammer ons and pull offs.

no, not impossible. It just sounds "smoother" when you tap it.

It sounds cleaner and looks more impressive if you tap it, but Angus Young actually usually picks it live. It's definitely not impossible, it just requires some speed and a lot of coordination between your hands.

Condescending post is condescending.

There is no right or wrong way to play something, if it's the way the player wants to play it. Picking every note would give it a different feel, not necessarily wrong.

angus pick every note, in the recording of the song he taped down all the strings exept b to not get some mistake touches of the other strings :p

yeah i heard somewhere that angus plays it all picked sometimes, and legato others...

IMO legato sounds better, and coincidentally is easier haha. give that a shot
