It's a Teisco. I'm pretty sure of that. The thin, angled string tree and the zero fret and the overall shape are typical features, and the body shape is very similar to the Spectrum II guitar.

Yeah it's a Teisco, or some other Japanese budget bass, most probably from the 70's.

I agree with Boyce--that's a Teisco bass. And you got quite the bargain; those basses are going from around 500 USD and up. What was considered low market in the 1960s and 1970s are now considered highly collectible as "vintage" guitars. I'd be hanging on to that bass if I were you.

yeah i plan on keeping it i also have a 70's columbus les paul copy which i will be holding on to ive only ever seen one other.

Yeah they've got a high value now because they were a lot of people's first instruments in the '60s and '70s and those people are now earning decent money and nostalgic.

Is it a short scale instrument? It's very nice looking - certainly something to keep IMO.

it's deff a Teisco, all the import basses from that era were actually manufactured by the same company and a different name was slaped on the headstock when it arrived here so it's eitehr a Teisco or the exact equivilent of one w/o the name on the head.

You got the bass for €5? That's got to be an awesome bargain, even if you sold it as parts.Get some new strings and decent pickups/electronics/bridge and you will have a killer bass
