I'm looking for a tube combo amp with a good power section because I will be bypassing the preamp for my Boss GT-8's preamp. Now I'm looking for an amp that has a master volume after the power amp or a volume control for the effects loop. I'm looking in the $200 - $600 range. So anyone recommend any good, cheap tube combo amps? And I will request that no one tell me to ditch the GT-8's preamp and recommend something else. I want combo amps. If there is a really good half stack with a good power section, I'll think more into it.

Check out Atomic Amps. They make both a 112 and 212 combo amp that is designed just for running modelers into. They have 6l6 power sections.

You also might want to look for a used rack power amp and a nice 212 cab.

^ +1. Or look at Visual Sound amps.

And even if it is SS, the Roland Jazz Chorus is supposed to be great with modelers.

Woah, I never thought there would be amps like Atomic amps. People should be more exposed to this stuff. I'll definitely look into them. How much do they cost? The 18 112?
