well, a Marshall JCM2000 DSL401 will do all that **** and more. that amp just kicks major ****ing ass.

That said, it's over a thousand dollars.

I have a peavey classic 30 and I absolutely love it. and I got it for 300 bucks. It does rock, blues and all that ****, well (not metal without a distortion box, I bought a metal muff and am satisfied. In fact I was just playing seasons in the abyss on it.)

actually i just think you need a footswitch, the distortion on the amp is pretty badass! i have a distortion pedal anyway, cuz someone gave it to me as a gift... if youre really anal and get very specific with your distortion though, yea... get a pedal. if its not a big deal to you use a footswitch

Soldano Super Lead Overdrive 100. It's what I would get.

the other guitarist in our band has just got a peavey delta blues, it's nice. however i do prefer my fender hotrod deluxe, despite the fact it's just gone in to a tech to fix a fuzzy sound on the clean channel.
I've been imitated so well I've heard people copy my mistakes.

if money's not an issue, go for a soldano (Hot Rod, Decatone, etc.)
awesome tone, great quality, and pedal friendly
