Would this be an appropriate place to record a bit of hendrix, and then ask for pointers on getting the right tone?

I'm really struggling getting a hendrix tone i like, i have the basic distortion and wah going on but it just doesn't sound nice. I've seen covers on youtube that are alot closer but i just can't get close so would this be an appropriate place?

As promised a wee clip of the voodoo chile intro played really badly!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=io264xibE14

Look read the description, it's a first take, it's not great there are lots and lots of mistakes! And i had to play without a pick because i've misplaced them all apparently.

I just don't like my tone for Hendrix. I usually play more layed back stuff like john mayer. BB king etc and indie pop/rock so i normally just use my Blues Junior without the GT8 because the tone is better however i have to use some effects for certain songs this being one of them. An ideas?

Sry for double post, i took the video down after realising how poor it was.

Ive also solved my tone problem. I found that if i removed the amp modelling from my GT8 fro this patch and then just ran it into my blues junior on full pre-amp volume i get a great really accurate tone.

So in a way thanks guys
