okay, so i have got this old black and white squire strat laying around
and i wanna mess around with it and do some cool stuff
to it

im not a metal fan
so dont suggest hi-gain supershred type pickups
or anything like that

also another question,
are the affinity series strats plywood?
what about the neck?

if u dont wanna do much just strip the paint and give it a custom paintjob of your own make it special to you

MOD boards are shocking dont.

your necks probably fine and there are fewer and fewer plywood squires around these days i think so you might be alright

yea, the mod boards are kinda cool, but from what i've heard they don't sound that great. The black ice mod is pretty cool, cost about 1$ and adds a nice bluesy distortion/overdrive with the turn of a knob
