I'm looking to get a really small portable amp to practice with (and I'm away for 2 months this summer, so need an amp). I have a few options:
1. Danelectro Honeytone http://www.guitarcenter.com/Danelectro-Honeytone-N-10-Guitar-Mini-Amp-481850-i1398410.gc

2. Smokey Mini Amp http://www.guitarcenter.com/Smokey-Mini-Amp-483005-i1145926.gc

3. Vox Amplug (prob the classic rock one, I dont play metal)http://www.guitarcenter.com/Vox-amPlug-Classic-Rock-Headphone-Amp-104915277-i1385632.gc

I like the idea of the amplug because its so easy to just plug in and play, but I like the Honeytone (how small is it?) for the price of only $20. I really only need it with headphones in though. Let me know if you've played these or others, and what you would pick.

Personally, I'd steer clear of Danelectro - their stuff might be cheap, but you get what you pay for. I'd recommend the Pocket Pod, but it is $130, so if you have the money, might be a worthwhile investment. I use a Fender Mini Deluxe micro-amp (2w, 9v powered) which has proven time and time again to be the best £5/$10 I ever spent (second-hand, btw), and it gives a nice bluesy overdrive tone; it practically lives in my guitar case, and is powerful enough to be heard with or without headphones. However, if you don't like fuzz/blues overdrive, I too have heard good things about the amPlug, and Vox are a respected brand, so it might be the best option.
