I got my new guitar and the 6,5, and a few others buzz. I have heard many causes of how this happens. Tell me what you think it is. Do not say anything about the pickups because i have already adjusted that. The guitar is a SX Les Paul copy. Thanks in advance.

if it's buzzing from the 1st to 7th, it needs truss rod adjustment.
if it buzzes from the 12th fret to higher frets, it needs action adjustment.
if it buzzes on open strings, it needs nut adjustment or replacement.

if you don't want to adjust the truss rod or tweak anything else, maybe a lighter guahe of strings might help..

Doesn't using a lighter guage cause more buzz? because of the tension and stuff, that's what happened to me, U can try to do it urself by getting help from the wonderful people here at UG but if u don't really know what ur doing, get a proper set up from a shop, which is what I'm doing.

yes, lighter gauge can cause more buzz.

Jenny needs to sow her wild oats with random Gibsons and Taylors she picks up in bars before she settles down with a PRS.
