what distortion/overdrive pedal should I buy for to get a metallica sound??

If you buy a Wah pedal you could instantly have a Kirk Hammet sound...
more sig required.

You'll definitely need your gain to be A LOT tighter than what the mg has, maybe
something like a MT-2 for rythm parts, and a tubescreamer for leads.

You will not get any kind of tone worth mentioning out of an MG. A pedal damn sure won't do much.

MT-2 is worse then the MG.. worst pedal on the market.

My friend has one and he try to sell it me and and try it(I did not buy it) and OMG ''this is crap''
