Painting will cost at least twice what you're expecting. Sorry, but it's the sad truth. You should work out how much paint you'll need and then double the quantity.

If you're using acrylics then 500ml of each primer, colour and clear will do. If using nitrocellulose, expect to use 800ml of colour and 400ml of primer and clear. Really does depend on the kinda colour scheme you're going for. Solid plain flat colours will take less paint, things like butterscotch finishes tend to really eat the paint. Also the conditions in which you spray affect the usage, you'll get through more painting outdoors...

Anyway, remember to expect to use more, a lot more than you were expecting. Just so you don't have a shock.
