As many of you that use tremolo units know, when we use are whammy bar, the springs can sometimes make noise, especially if you abuse your system as much as I do . I picked up this tip for cutting back on that noise on the Vai website when reading the history of EVO. Open up the trem cavity in the back, fold up a couple tissues, and lay them over the springs. This drastically reduces the noise! I use two big tissues so that it is somewhat of a tight fit. My trem unit not only sounds better by being less noisy but it feels better too! That I can't explain, lol. I just thought I would share that with all of you. It worked for me and it works for Steve Vai too! Keep on rockin!
