So last night my mom comes home from work and she goes "i got you a prize"

and i was thinking "oh joy, a candy bar!" (lol)

n then when i look in her truck i see an acoustic laying in the back seat.

Turns out someone left it in an apartment complex that she manages and she got to take it home.

It's an Alvarez Acoustic guitar and it's fairly beat up, strung all wrong, and one of the tuning pegs is cracked, yet it is still in tune and plays decent.

now i was wondering, are alvarez acoustics good guitars overall or is there no sense in fixing this one up?

mind you i already have a yamaha acoustic as well.

if it sounds and plays nice then i'd say fix it up. usually alvarez guitars are quite nice from what i hear. even the cheap ones are good quality.

Like Jimtaka basically said, what model is it? The brand don't really mean too much the model is the more important part.

it's pretty much an entry level alvarez. it's worth cleaning up, but not major fixes.

Its an alright guitar. Worth fixing if all you have to do is replace the tuning pegs.
