i guess that depends on what you already know about playing guitar?

start with the blues scale i guess. and listen, keep on listening and learning other player's licks.

In three UBER EASY steps:

Blues scale, weird chords (minor 7 flat 5 etc), and most important of all:
It's not what you play, it's what you DON'T play (be expressive and emotional, quarter tone bends etc)

You have precisely ONE chord progression that you have to know really really well...
12 bar I-IV-V. Of course, there's variations and stuff, but that's the main one...

So you start out taking your minor pentatonic/blues scale and start jamming over
the I-IV-V progression.

You might not sound bad, but you probably quickly realize there's more to it than
that.

So then you start copying some licks, learn a bit more about theory, follow the chord
tones, and .... after a while you start getting good.
